PURPOSE: To provide the coin storage device of the electronic equipment which prevents coins from being stolen even if the device is illegally unlocked with a duplicate key, etc.

CONSTITUTION: Coins which are thrown in a coin throw-in opening 11 and passed through a coin detecting mechanism 14 are stored in a coin storage box 17 which is arranged below a coin throw-in chamber 9 and provided to a coin storage chamber 10 whose front is open so that the storage box can be drawn out. Further, a detecting means 31 consisting of a permanent magnet 29 and a reed switch 30 detects the coin storage box 17 being drawn out and then an alarm control means makes a buzzer sound. When coins are collected, the alarming operation is inhibited by inputting a specific set number to the alarm control means through an input means.
