PURPOSE: To efficiently and continuously collect the ineffective metal vapor particles by a method wherein a fluidized film of a molten liquid is formed within a tank and the ineffective metal vapor particles held at a specified pressure and temp. are collided onto this film to be rapidly condensed.
CONSTITUTION: Into a tank 1 held at a pressure lower than the atmospheric pressure, a molten liquid of an oil and fat, B2O3, Pb or the like which is fluidized at a relatively low temp. and has a low vapor pressure is supplied from an atmospheric side through a supply port 8, 8' to form a molten liquid film 6, 6'. Then, the vapor bundle V' of a plating metal such as Zn or Al is collided onto this film 6, 6' in such a condition that said plating metal is held at a non-condensing pressure and temp. as well as not scattered outwardly to be rapidly condensed and suspended or dissolved within said liquid film 6, 6', and, subsequently, discharged along with the molten liquid forming the above described liquid film into a container 10 in the outside of the tank 1. The pressure within a tank 1 is generally held at a pressure capable of carrying out vacuum vapor deposition plating, that is, 1×10-5 TorrW 1×10-3Torr.
