Abstract:

To provide an inexpensive collector small in air resistance, and high in heat conductivity, corrosion resistance and moldability; a manufacturing method of the collector; and a fuel cell system with the collector incorporated therein.

Collectors 12 arranged on both sides of a membrane-electrode assembly 11 having an electrolyte layer 11a sandwiched between a fuel electrode 11c and an oxygen electrode 11b, forming gas passages for supplying a fuel gas and an oxidation gas to the fuel electrode 11c and the oxygen electrode 11b, respectively, and used for extracting a current generated by a reaction between the fuel gas and the oxidation gas therefrom are each composed by integrating a metal porous body 12b contacting the membrane-electrode assembly 11 with a carbon bipolar plate 12a formed of a thermoplastic resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin and conductive carbon, and having ribs 121 supporting the metal porous body 12b.
