Abstract:

To give an effective alarm to other vehicles so that any of the other vehicles may not collide with one's own vehicle advancing into an intersection etc. with poor forward visibility.

When an obstacle extraction means M3 extracts the other vehicle approaching one's own vehicle as an obstacle based on a detection result of an object detection means M2 and a priority road decision means M4 decides which of a road on which one's own vehicle travels and a road on which the other vehicle travels is a priority road, a danger degree decision means M5 decides a danger degree that the other vehicle collides with one's own vehicle based on the obstacle and the priority road. When the priority road decision means M4 decides the road on which one's own vehicle travels as the priority road and the danger degree decision means M5 decides as a danger degree of a prescribed value or more, an alarm means M9 gives an alarm to the other vehicle, and thereby the other vehicle is made to know a risk of a collision and is urged to spontaneously perform avoiding operation, to avoid the collision. When the danger degree is the prescribed value or more, even if the alarm means M9 is operated, an automatic speed reduction means M8 is operated to automatically reduce speed of one's own vehicle, and thereby the collision with the other vehicle can be further surely avoided.
