PURPOSE: To obtain a lightweight flexible color filter which can be easily attached to a color liquid crystal display device or the like for use by connecting color layers of a color filter layer with a transparent resin part to constitute a film.

CONSTITUTION: This color filter 10 is a film comprising a color filter layer 2 and a transparent resin part 3. The color filter layer 2 consists of color layers 1R, 1G, 1B of red (R), green (G) and blue (B), respectively, which are two- dimensionally arranged with different color layers 1R, 1G, 1B adjacent to each other. The transparent resin part 3 connects these color layers 1R, 1G, 1B. A light-shielding frame 4 is formed in the border region of color layers 1R, 1G, 1B. A resin film 7 is laminated on one surface of the color filter. The resin film 7 prevents damages in the color filter layer 2 and the transparent resin part 3 due to scratching or the like and makes the color filter 12 itself as independent.
