The color filter substrate is provided with a substrate and a color filter 4 formed on the substrate. The color filter 4 includes a plurality of colored layers 30G extending in a first direction d1 and arranged side by side with gaps in a second direction d2; a plurality of dividing parts 31 provided in the first direction d1 with gaps and arranged side by side with gaps in the second direction d2; and a plurality of colored layers 30R formed except the part disposed facing the plurality of dividing parts 31, extending in the first direction d1, arranged side by side with gaps in the second direction d2, and adjacent to the side edges of the plurality of colored layers 30G.
