This color image forming device is provided with an intermediate transfer belt 19 made of a resistor and kept in contact with a group of image forming units 10, an electrode 31 applying the toner image transfer voltage to the intermediate transfer belt 19, a moving means 18 rotatively moving a group of image forming units 10 around the rotation center each time the toner image is transferred on the intermediate transfer belt 19 to change the image carrier 12 kept in contact with the intermediate transfer belt 19, and a conducting transfer roller 28 pressing the image receiving paper 36 to the intermediate transfer belt 19 to re-transfer the toner image superimposedly held on the intermediate transfer belt 19 to the image receiving paper 36. The electrode 31 is arranged in the downstream in the conveying direction of the intermediate transfer belt 19 from the image carrier contact position of the intermediate transfer belt 19.
