Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve resistance to light, heat and moisture as well as color reproducibility and durability by using a polyimide resin contg. pigments as a material for a color filter. CONSTITUTION:The polyimide resin contg. the pigments is used as the material for the color filter to be used for a color liquid crystal display panel and, therefore, this color filter is higher in the resistance to light, heat and moisture and is more durable than an org. film color filter formed by dyeing a dyeing substrate such as gelatin or casein with a dye. The color reproducibility of the color filter is, therefore, not impaired even if said filter is exposed for a long period of time to the light of a back light. The fading of the color filter is obviated and the excellent color reproducibility is obtd. even if the color filter is subjected to a heat treatment at the time of forming transparent electrodes, org. oriented films, etc., after the formation of the filter. The high- reliability color liquid crystal display panel which is highly resistant to light, heat, moisture, etc., and maintains the good color reproducibility for a long period of time is thereby formed.
