Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the clip of a signal or the deterioration of the signal generated due to conversion between a color signal and a luminance/color difference signal.SOLUTION: A color signal conversion device 1 includes: a gamma correction part 10 for performing gamma conversion to color signals to be input; a matrix arithmetic part 12 for generating luminance/color difference signals from the color signals subjected to gamma conversion; an averaging part 13 for performing the averaging processing of the color difference signals; and a sub-sampling part 14 for performing the sub-sampling processing of the color difference signals subjected to averaging processing. A color signal restoration device 2 includes: an inverse matrix arithmetic part 22 for generating the color signals from the luminance/color difference signals; an interpolation part 23 for generating the low frequency component signals of the color signals; a matrix arithmetic part 24 for generating the low frequency components of the luminance signal; a coefficient generation part for generating a coefficient W indicating the rate of high frequency components to the low frequency components of the luminance signal; an averaging part 13 for performing the averaging processing of the signals obtained by multiplying the low frequency components of the color signals by the coefficient W; and an inverse gamma correction part 40 for performing inverse gamma conversion.
