Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a color sorting device for bottles capable of transporting bottles in an optimum state to a color recognizing section, exactly recognizing the colors of the bottles and a automatically sorting the bottles with high reliability.
CONSTITUTION: This color sorting device is composed of a hopper section 1 for throwing the bottles, a bottle supplying section 2 having a slat conveyor for transporting the bottles thrown in this hopper section 1 by placing the bottles between slats 21 and 21, a first conveyor 31 and edging plates 32 and has a bottle aligning section 3 which introduces the bottles carried out of this slat conveyor to one side and aligns the bottles in one row in a transporting direction. The device is also provided with a spaced transporting means 4 which transports the bottles aligned to one row in such a manner and carried out of the bottle aligning section 3 in the state of spacing the bottles from each other by a difference in the transporting speeds, the color recognizing section 6 which is disposed in mid-way of this spaced transporting means 4 and recognizes the colors of the bottles transported to this section and a sorting section 6 which sorts the bottles in accordance with the results of the color recognition of the bottles recognized in the color recognizing section 5.
