Abstract:
To provide a color wheel which can improve luminance of a projector.
This invention provides the color wheel and a projection system using the color wheel. The color wheel comprises a holding member and a plurality of filters fixed to the holding member. The holding member can be installed at a shaft of a motor, thereby rotating the color wheel. A plurality of filters form a circle at an outer periphery of the holding member and the circle has at least one notch opening and the notch opening is replaced with a transparent filter used for a conventional color wheel.
