Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain excellent noise elimination and to obtain picture quality with excellent visual performance by providing a delay means, a subtraction means, a limiter means and an adder/subtractor means. CONSTITUTION:The comb line filter circuit is provided with a delay means 12 retarding an input signal for a prescribed time, a subtraction means 11 subtracting an input signal and an output signal of the delay means, a limiter means 13 controlling the limiter level depending on the level of the input signal or the output signal of the delay means 11 and an adder/subtractor means 16 adding or subtracting the input signal and the output signal of the limiter means 13. Thus, when the level is a black level offering high visual sensitivity, the limiter means is controlled so as to increase its limiter level thereby eliminating noise, resulting in obtaining a visually excellent picture quality.
