To provide a combustible gas mixing method and a combustible gas mixer by which a mixed gas for reforming can be produced by uniformly mixing a high-pressure and high-temperature combustible gas with an oxygen-containing gas without inducing abnormal combustion such as backfire and spontaneous fire.
The combustible gas mixing method comprises mixing a combustible raw material gas with an oxygen-containing gas to produce a premixed gas in a combustible concentration range, wherein the oxygen-containing gas is fed along a jet J1 of the combustible raw material gas, part of the oxygen-containing gas is taken in the jet J1 and mixed with the jet by an ejector effect caused along with the jet J1, and the fuel concentration of a mixed gas in a mixing area MX1 formed on a downstream side of the jet J1 is kept out of the combustible concentration range irrespectively of a change in momentum which the jet has.
