Abstract:
To provide a combustion device capable of eliminating an erroneous backfire detection, improving accuracy of backfire detection, and suitably suppressing its components from being thermally damaged by a backfire flame.SOLUTION: A combustion device C comprising a combustion unit 4 for combusting fuel gas, a mixed gas supply path 3 for supplying the combustion unit 4 with mixed gas of fuel gas and air, and a flame sensor 5 positioned in the mixed gas supply path 3 or disposed on a position facing the same, and capable of optically detecting a backfire flame when a backfire occurs from the combustion unit 4 in the direction of the mixed gas supply path 3, is characterized by further comprising a shield 6 that prevents a backfire flame and flame light of normal combustion respectively, from proceeding to the flame sensor 5 from the combustion unit 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
