To provide a commodity carry-away device for an automatic vending machine which can improve the commodity store efficiency by preparing the column groups where various types of commodities are stacked and stored in each type at both sides of the vending machine body and a door and also can reduce the total size of the commodity carry-away device.

The commodity store column groups where the commodities S are stacked and stored are placed opposite to each other in the front-back direction and at the side of the body of an automatic vending machine and also the rear side of a door. Then a commodity pickup means 20 is placed between the commodity store column groups so that it can freely move up and down and right and left respectively. The means 20 pushes and carries away the commodities S of the lowest state put on a column base 12 from the back side by means of a pair of drive arms 24 which are extended and retracted toward the lower side of the base 12 of each commodity store columns 11 of the commodity store columns at the machine side and at the door side from the main body 21 and a pusher which is placed at the tip parts of the arms 24. Furthermore, these arms 24 are located at the positions corresponding to the upper and lower sides of the main body 21 respectively.
