Consequently, after executing a sorting code name setting processing, a mode for setting the sorting code an bloc is specified from a key input device 4 and an old sorting code desired to change, a new sorting code to be set this time and the number of a starting commodity as the smallest number of the commodities desired to change is inputted from the key input device 4 in accordance with a display on the screen of a display device 6 so as to confirm each input data on the display 6. Thereby, the operator can save labor and time for calling commodity data one by one and individually changing the sorting code and easily set data of the sorting code in a short time.
