The communication apparatus 2 being connected with communication networks 4 and 5 comprises a section 31 for receiving data from the communication networks 4 and 5, a decision poliycy section 32 capable of setting a rule for determining processing of data received at the data receiving section, an SSDP decision section 35 for determining data processing based on a policy set at the decision policy section, a section 33 capable of processing and uncapsulating a capsulated SSDP packet, a forwarding destination list section 36 capable of registering the address of remote communication apparatus, a section 37 for processing and encapsulating an SSDP packet, and a remote apparatus information cache section 38 for storing information of remote communication apparatus.
