PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus and communication method, capable of suppressing power consumption.SOLUTION: The communication apparatus includes a detector section, a power amplifier section and a start control section. The detector section detects a signal of a level not less than a predetermined threshold value. The power amplifier section amplifies electric power of the signal. The start control section starts the power amplifier section when the detector section detects the signal of a level not less than the predetermined threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
