Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct communication at a transmission rate where probability of occurrence of a bit error is low by sending a TCF signal at a transmission rate slower than that of a preceding time from a transmission source through the re-transmission of an FTT signal to the transmission source even in the case that no bit error is detected from the TCF signal received at second at the same transmission rate as that of the first transmission.
SOLUTION: A CPU discriminates it in the step 58 that no bit error is in existence in a TCF signal received at second in the step 56, and in the case that a transmission rate of the TCF signal received at second is discriminated to be the same transmission rate as first, an FTT signal is sent again to an opposite facsimile equipment in the step 60 and the opposite facsimile equipment receiving the FTT signal sends the TCF signal at a transmission rate slower than that of a preceding time.
