A base unit 1 of a telephone set connected to a telephone line network 21 is provided with: a communication history storage part 215 for receiving call source information such as a telephone number, a name and the like and storing the information as a communication history in response to a call originated from a call source by utilizing a pre-communication information notice service or the like; a terminated call detection part 218 for detecting presence/absence of a terminated call; a counter 216 for counting how many times a ringer is sounded; and a display device 25 for displaying the communication history. When it is decided by a terminated call decision part 218 that a communication line is cut by the call source and the number of times of sounding the ringer counted by the counter 216 is less than or equal to a predetermined reference value, a control apparatus 23 deletes the call source information from the communication history storage part 215.
