A facsimile machine B with the capabilities for receiving the e-mail and output contents of the received e-mail and a personal computer C having the capabilities of exchanging the various types of information with this facsimile device B are included in a communication system, the received e-mail is divided into the body of the mail and file attachment in the facsimile device B, and its file attachment is transferred to the personal computer C. The file attachment, transferred from the facsimile device B, is restored in the personal computer C to be outputted on the facsimile machine B, and the file attachment is sent back to the facsimile device B, and to be displayed and printed there afterwards.
