Abstract:
To establish stable communication by easier control.
A RTP (Realtime Transport Protocol) packet creation part 231 creates a RTP packet which stores a sequence number showing a reproduction order as streaming data, and a communication part 153 transmits the created packet to a client 114. A head sequence number extraction part 183 extracts a head sequence number from the created RTP packet. When a discrimination part 184 discriminates that the sequence number of the RTP packet and the extracted head sequence number coincide with each other, a head packet of a media unit is decided. The invention, for example, can be applied to a system which controls a transmission rate and transmits and receives data.
