Abstract:
To recognize received image and to extract necessary information from the image.
A control circuit of a portable telephone sets a CCD(changer coupled device) image sensor to read a barcode image (step ST1) and stores the barcode image in a memory (step ST2). A prescribed recognition process is practiced by using the barcode image stored in the memory to generate barcode information (step ST3), the generated barcode information is stored (step ST4), and the barcode information is transmitted, when a transmission button is pushed (step ST5).
