To provide a composite filter including an electromagnetic wave shielding filter having an anti-glare filter and a patterned conductive layer subjected to blackening process, in which the blackened layer hardly drops off, and reflection prevention property of the external light is excellent; and to provide a front filter for a plasma display using the composite filter.
The composite filter comprises: the electromagnetic wave shielding filter; and the anti-glare filter. The electromagnetic wave shielding filter includes a conductive patterned layer formed on a transparent substrate and with a prescribed pattern and having conductive particles and a binder resin. A metal layer with its tip ends projected and the center thereof recessed is formed on the surface of the conductive pattern layer. A blackened layer comprising needle shaped crystals is formed on the surface of the metal layer.
