Title:
COMPOSITE MAGNETIC HEAD AND ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01271905
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of cracks in a projecting part and the peeling of a magnetic film by specifying the crystal azimuth of single crystal ferrite blocks and making the width of the tip part of the projecting part smaller than a track width.

CONSTITUTION: A composite magnetic head consists of a C-type ferrite block 1 and an I-type ferrite block 1' and they are covered with a magnetic film 2 and bonded with adhesives with an operating gap 6 between. The ferrite blocks 1 and 1' are made of the single crystal of Mn-Zn ferrite or Ni-Zn ferrite and the crystal azimuth of a face opposite to a magnetic recording medium is (211). A width (t) of the tip part of a projecting part 7 is made smaller than a track width T and thus, an expected purpose is attained.
