Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulfonic acid group-containing ether compound-containing composition which is useful for various applications such as a water treatment agent, a detergent, a builder and a dispersant, and has excellent color tone stability even when stored for a long period of time, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a sulfonic acid group-containing ether compound-containing composition which contains a propanesulfonic acid (salt) group-containing ether compound having an alkoxy group substituted with a methylene group and sulfurous acid (salt) and/or bisulfite (salt), where the total content of the sulfurous acid (salt) and/or the bisulfite (salt) is 2.3-19 mol% with respect to 100 mol% of the sulfonic acid group-containing ether compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None
