To provide a composition for improving cognitive functions or preventing a cognitive decline, which is used for exposing a subject to a fragrance in a high-temperature high-humidity environment, a steam for improving cognitive functions or preventing a cognitive decline and a method for producing the same, and a method for improving cognitive functions or preventing a cognitive decline.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a composition for improving cognitive functions or preventing a cognitive decline which contains 1,8-cineole and is used for exposing a subject's head and face to the fragrance of 1,8-cineole in a high-temperature high-humidity environment at a temperature of 28-50°C and a humidity of 80% or more in which steam is generated by heating water to 38°C or higher or mist is generated by spraying water.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
