Abstract:

To provide a composition and a method for increasing neovascularization in a tissue showing impaired blood stream or improper blood stream.

There is provided a method for increasing neovascularization in tissues of mammals showing impaired blood stream or improper blood stream by administration of a neublastin polypeptide. The method can be used to treat or prevent disorders characterized by impaired blood stream or improper blood stream, or to increase neovascularization in a transplanted organ in a subject.
