Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the reflection of a housing in a small curvature part, and attain sufficient view range increase effect in a compound curvature mirror type door mirror where a compound curvature mirror constituted with its small curvature parts formed continuously in a main curvature part is disposed in the housing.
SOLUTION: The circumference of the opening part 3 of a housing 4 is formed into such a shape, basically, to meet the contour of a compound curvature mirror 5 involving the first side edge 3a meeting a main curvature part 7 and the second side edge 3b meeting a small curvature part 8, and the projector of the second side edge 3b is formed so as to depart gradually from an extension line L toward the second side edge 3b side of the projector of the first side edge 3a to a vehicle front side as the projector of the second side edge 3b goes toward the outside of the opening part 3 when the housing 4 is projected on a plane orthogonal to a virtual surface which includes the first side edge 3a in such a condition as the housing 4 positions its opening part 3 disposed on a vehicle rear side.
