PURPOSE: To enable to accept and maintain charges of mutually different polarity in each photoconductive layer, by forming the first photoconductive layer with a eutectic complex system layer sensitized in wavelength region of 400W550nm and the second photocoductive layer with nonsensitized eutectic complex system layer.
CONSTITUTION: As eutectic system, a mixture of pyrylium base dye, electrical insulating polymer [for example, poly (3,3'-ethylene dioxyphenylene thiocarbonate)] and donor such as poly aryl alkane is used. That is, the first photocontuctive layer 2 of thickness of about 3W50μ is provided on a conductive substrate 1, with said eutectic system sensitized in the region of wavelength 400W450nm by adding about 1W15wt%. of sensitizer (for example, a compound shown in the formula), and the second photoconductive layer 3 of thickness of about 3W80μ of nonsensitized eutectic system is provided thereon to form a photoreceptor.
