PURPOSE: A compounded dye for polyester fibers having improved temperature and pH stability, capable of dyeing the polyester fibers in clear navy blue with improved fastness to various properties, obtained by blending a specific disazo dye with a monoazo dye and a novel disazo dye.
CONSTITUTION: A dye obtained by blending a disazo dye shown by the formulaIwith at least one of a novel disazo dye shown by the formula II (X is H, Cl, NO2, or CF3; Y is CN, alkoxycarbonyl, or carbamoyl; Z is H, Cl, CH3, OH, or acylamino; R1 and R2 are H, aryl, alkenyl, alkyl, etc.) and a monoazo dye shown by the formula III (X1 is Cl or Br; Y1 is H, OCH3, etc.; R4 and R5 are H, aryl, alkyl, etc.). The novel disazo dye shown by the formula II is obtained by diazotizing an aniline, coupling it with a 2-amino-thiophene to give a monoazo dye shown by the formula IV, diazotizing it, coupling this compound with an aniline shown by the formula V.
