Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor that can properly configure a magnetic path for a stator core to improve efficiency of an electric motor.SOLUTION: A compressor includes: a closed housing 2 storing a compression mechanism and a motor 8 for driving the compression mechanism therein; the motor 8 including a stator 9 and a rotor 10; and the stator 9 including a stator core 9a. The closed housing 2 has a substantially regular-pentagon-like cross section. A passage 32 for leading refrigerant and the like is formed between the closed housing 2 and the stator core 9a having a tubular outer peripheral surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
