Abstract:

To provide a computer system provided with methods to solve problems by allowing genetic optimization agents to work together for a plurality of different problem solving technologies.

The computer system has at least one genetic optimization agent that stores a pool of genetic types, which indicates solutions for problems. The agent generates new genetic types from the pool, and then evaluates them corresponding to specified adaptability criteria to select the most suitable one within the pool in order to form a new generation for genetic types. In addition, the system also has a plurality of other agents which generate further solutions using different technologies, such as simulated annealing, compulsion theory and neural networks. The further solutions are also indicated as genetic types. The genetic optimized agent imports genetic types from further agents, and adds it into its own pool of genetic types to breed and select them.
