Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the operational capability during simultaneous measurement of transmitted light and reflected light from the same sample.
CONSTITUTION: A reflecting plate 6 is moved with a reflector plate motor onto the light path and a window plate 8 is moved with a window plate motor out of the light path. Then, a reflected light sensor 10 detects the reflected light from the reflecting plate 6 and performs the standard measurement of the reflected light. The window plate 8 is then moved with the reflecting plate motor onto the light path and the reflecting plate 6 is also moved with the reflecting plate motor out of the light path. Then, a transmitted light sensor 9 performs standard measurement of the light passing through the window plate 8. After that, a sample cell 1 is moved with a sample cell motor to a measuring position in a cell holder 2 and the transmitted light sensor 9 detects the light having passed through the sample. Consequently, the window plate 8 is moved with a window plate motor out of the light path and the reflected light sensor 10 detects the reflected light from the sample.
