To provide a highly reliable connecting method of capacitor in which capacitors can endure against thermal stress and mechanical stress when they are used while being connected in series.
In the method for connecting a plurality of capacitors provided with planar metal terminals 13, 14, 15 and 16 projecting from columnar capacitor bodies 11 and 12 in the opposite directions, a metal bonding joint 17 is formed between the metal terminals 13 and 14 by a method for connecting the planar metal terminal 14 and the planar metal terminal 15 of an adjacent capacitor 12 and/or the planar metal terminal 14 and a planar connecting plate by soldering and/or inert gas welding while overlapping thus attaining a highly reliable capacitor durable against thermal stress and mechanical stress.
