To provide a superconductor connecting method which has simple work processes and improves electric characteristics reliability of its connecting section and provide an improved superconducting coil.
In a method for connecting superconductors each other, plural superconductive element wires 3 which consist of plural filaments 5 covered with a stabilized material 6 are stored in a conduit 2. By exposing super conductive element wires 3a, 3b at connecting ends of both superconductors 1a, 1b to be connected each other, by setting gap between two superconductive element wires to value less than that of other sections using sleeves 8a, 8b or adhering superconductive element wires 3 one another into a dense structure, and by inserting soft material 11 which is softer than superconductive element wires between connecting ends of both superconductors and pressure-contacting them, both superconductors 1a, 1b are joined together.
