PURPOSE: To electrolyze sea water and to prevent the adhesion of living things to an ocean structure and the corrosion thereof by constituting the subject connecting structure of a perforated positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate mounted via an insulating plate to the ocean structure side and an intermediate insulating plate mounted between the above-mentioned two electrodes.

CONSTITUTION: The above electrode body is formed of the 1st electrode plate 1 which has many holes 1a and comes into contact with the sea water, the 2nd electrode plate 3 mounted to the ocean structure 5 side via the insulating plate 4 and the perforated intermediate insulating plate 3 mounted between the two electrode plates 1 and 3. A DC voltage is impressed between the positive pole of the above-mentioned 1st electrode plate 1 and the negative pole of the 2nd electrode plate 3 and the ocean structure 5. The connecting structure of the above-mentioned electrode body is so constituted that the electrode bodies of every one unit can be extremely easily connected in series by mere fitting without using electric wires, etc., at all.
