Title:
CONNECTING STRUCTURE FOR TORQUE CONVERTER CASE AND DRIVE PLATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3724315
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent vibration of a torque converter case.
SOLUTION: In an assembly comprising a drive plate and a torque converter case in which a drive plate is bolted to bosses protruding through (mounted on?) the torque converter case, each of bosses 52 has an outer end side 64 and an inner end side 66, respectively tilted at such preset angles from a line perpendicular to the torque converter shaft that any point of each said end side finds itself on a smaller radius (hypothetically drawn from the center of the converter case) as it gets farther from the converter case, a contact surface 62 that not only maintains a right angle to the torque converter shaft but also directly contacts with a drive plate, and an elliptical through hole 70 for a bolt 54 and a nut 56. The wall thickness between the end sides of the boss becomes smaller as it gets closer to the case. The drive plate is fixed on the outer end side with a bolt 54 and nut 56.
