In the connection cap for covering and holding the joint of a joint wire inserted from an opening 14 on the rear end side of a cap body 12 filled with seal material, a pair of half-split closing lids 20 are provided oppositely on the opening side of the cap body 12 following to a flexible hinge 19, a semicircular groove 21 for holding the joint wire is provided at the forward end part of the pair of closing lids 20 and 20, respectively, an engaging hole 16 is provided in the inner surface 12a of the cap body 12 in correspondence with the position of the pair of closing lids 20 and 20, and a protrusion 22 engaging with the engaging hole 16 is provided on the side face 20a of the pair of closing lids 20.
