To provide a connection method and a device of a synthetic resin corrugated pipe member of stable quality which has high adhesive strength on a joint surface and has no unevenness in fusion on the whole joint surface when at least one of the two synthetic resin pipe members used for piping to be connected to each other is made a corrugated pipe and when both of the pipe members are connected to each other by butt fusion.

One end of the corrugated pipe is positioned and fixed in the longitudinal direction by making use of the regularity of the unevenness on the outer peripheral surface of the corrugated pipe, namely constant periodicity. Then a plane surface is cut as a finishing grinding plane, and the plane surface orthogonal to the axis of one end of the fixed corrugated pipe contains the top of the convexity on the outermost side of one end of the corrugated pipe.
