PURPOSE: To make it possible to connect a tent pitching frame material or separate a connected tent pitching frame material by simple work, and what is more, make sure the connection more definitely when the tent is pitched.

CONSTITUTION: This invention relates to a connection pin 70 for a tent pitching frame material which interconnects tent pitching frame materials having a penetration hole 21a at least one of the frame materials. There are provided a pin main body 71 to be inserted into the penetration hole 21a which is formed in the shape of a pipe and an engagement piece 27 all of which is substantially housed inside the end of the pin main body 71 and rotatively supported. A first projection unit 72a is installed at one end of the engagement piece 72 which projects from the outer peripheral surface of the pin main body 71 when the engagement piece 27 is rotated by self-weight and which is buried in the pin main body 71 when the engagement piece is rotated reversely. A second projection unit 72b, which projects from the end face of the pin main body 71 when the first projection unit 72a is in a buried state in the pin main body 71, is installed at the other end of the engagement piece 72.
