PURPOSE: To enable a following truck to be automatically connected to and separated from a transportation truck continuously travelling by itself.
CONSTITUTION: A self-travelling transportation truck 16 is provided on the rear end with a hook fitting 14, and a following truck 18 on which articles or the like are mounted is provided on the front end with a connecting pin 12. The hook fitting 14 is formed to have in the side an opening 30 into which the connecting pin 12 can be inserted. The following truck 18 stands by along a curved path such that the connecting pin 12 is located in the locus of the opening 30 of the hook fitting at the rear end of the transportation truck travelling on the curved path. Then, the connecting pin 12 is engaged with the hook fitting 14 by the oscillating motion of the transportation truck 16 travelling on the curved path to automatically connect the following truck to the transportation truck.
