To provide a connector for a card having a simple structure, capable of reducing a cost, miniaturizable, and capable of properly detecting a card ejecting operation by securing a sufficiently long delay time, and of surely detecting the presence of the card.
This connector for a card includes: a card ejection operation detection switch for detecting ejection of a card from a housing; and a card detection switch for detecting contact between a terminal member of the card and a connection terminal. The card ejection operation detection switch comprises a first contact member attached to the housing and a common contact member and detects the start of the ejection of the card while the card is moved in the insertion direction by a push operation and reaches an end point from a lock position; and the card detection switch comprises a second contact member attached to the housing and a common contact member.
