PURPOSE: To certainly protect a wire on the base part of a connector by attaching a hard wire protector to the base part of the connector to which plural wires are lead in from the rear and the core wire of each wire is connected to a contact.

CONSTITUTION: In a connector provided with wire protector, respective core wires of plural wires 1 lead in from the rear are attached slidably to the outer circumferential surface of a connector 2 connected to each contact. In a process in which the connector 2 is connected to a counterpart connector 4, a wire protector 3 coming into contact with the outer circumferential end surface of the counterpart connector 4, pressed and slid backward along the outer circumferential surface of the connector 2 to a position at which the wire 1 is covered is provided.
