Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a digital constant voltage equipment which can easily be controlled with the main controller of a copying machine, etc., by detecting the squared-mean value of a load voltage by means of hardware and inputting the detected value to a CPU after converting it into a digital value with an A/D converter. CONSTITUTION:A load voltage detected by a transformer 6 is full-wave rectified by a diode bridge 15 and converted into the squared value of the load voltage by means of a polygonal line approximation circuit (squared value circuit) which is composed of a Zener diode 16, resistance 17, and variable resistance 18 and has a square characteristic. Then the converted results are averaged by a capacitor 19 and the squared-means value of the load voltage is detected. The squared mean value is supplied to the A/D converter input of a microcomputer 4. Since the load voltage can be detected in DC level in such a way, the occupying time of a CPU can be shortened and, when this constant-voltage device is used as the lamp regulator of a copying machine, etc., the sampling operation can be executed as part of the microcomputer process of the main control without using an exclusively used controller.
