PURPOSE: To obtain the constituting material of a photographic film which is good in image quality and compact by imparting a light shielding function to the front end and terminal of the film.
CONSTITUTION: Light shielding paper is stuck and connected as a light shielding leader 1 to the front end of the film 3 and as a light shielding trailer 2 to the terminal respectively by tacky adhesive tapes. The unexposed film 3 is completely shielded of light by the light shielding leader 1 and the exposed film 4 is completely shielded of light by the light shielding trailer 2. The incidence of light to the photosensitive film is prevented by imparting the light shielding function to the front and terminal parts of the film to be exposed before and after the exposing in such a manner and since the light shielding paper is substantially not superposed and used in the part to be used for the photographing of the photosensitive film, the functioning as the consisting material of the film is possible. The winding diameter of the film roll is reduced in this way and the design meeting the expansion of an image screen size is possible.
