PURPOSE: To improve stability of arcs and to obtain excellent welding beads by providing projections on a chip to fit these with holes bored in a central cylinder and opposing in front wire through holes of the central cylinder to the through holes of the chip.
CONSTITUTION: Electric power from a welding source is supplied to the chip 7 with the projections 7' via a terminal plate and the central cylinder 6 and supplied to an object to be welded and three arcs are generated between the tips of respective wires 10 and the object to be welded. The wire through holes 10' of the chip 7 are provided at almost equal intervals on the same circumference and the three arcs are generated at equal intervals and furthermore, when the intervals between the wire through holes 10' are shortened, the three arcs are regarded to be a large single arc. In this way, a mechanism around the chip is simple and the welding workability is satisfactory.
