Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a fixture for sealingly fastening both flange parts of a pair of members vertically arranged, to be simply secured with a relative large force, by incorporating three linear members in a U-like shape and by fitting a member to be subjected to tension load, in the intermediate part of the assembly of the linear members. CONSTITUTION:A fastening fixture for sealingly uniting a container 1 and a cover 1' which are formed with at their opposing surfaces flanges 11, 11', respectively, comprises a U-like shape body including members 36, 37 which are adapted to be united together into an L-like shape by means a screw 35, and a member 34 which is adapted to be attached to the upper section of the member 37 in an L-like shape. A coupling support shaft 31 is pierced through the intermediate part of the member 34, and is threadedly engaged, at its lower threaded end, with the member 36. Upon working, an abutting metal member 26 secured to the front end of the member 36 by a bolt 35', is abutted against the lower surface of the flange 1 while another abutting metal member 26' is laid on the upper surface of the flange 11'. Thereby, the container 1 and the cover 1' are sealingly fastened together, with a gasket 12 being disposed therebetween, by fastening a bolt 25 to the abutting metal member 26 after members 34, 36 being fastened together by tightening a nut 33.
