A filter device adapted to be slidably arranged inside a container for preparing a multi-layered blood product by centrifugation of a liquid comprising components of whole blood, comprising a substantially planar mesh for providing a collecting surface for a blood product and a supporting buoyancy body for lifting the blood product towards the surface of the liquid in the container, wherein the filter device is adapted to be fixed relative to the container.
