To wash the inside of a container automatically by mounting the container on a frame to arrange the axis of the container to be nearly horizontal and jetting a washing material into the container with the container rotated around its axis.
In washing the inside of containers 1 of resin, coating, etc., for reuse etc., the container 1 carried by a conveyer 8 is mounted on a frame 2 so that the axis of the container 1 is nearly horizontal at a washing position. Next, with the container 1 rotated by a rotation driving means 3, a washing material jetting means 4 is moved nearly horizontally from the opening 1a to the inside of the container 1 by a jet driving means 5, and the inside of the container 1 is washed by washing material supplied by a washing material supply means 6. In this process, at a washing position where the scattering of the washing material is estimated, the conveyer 8 and the container 1 are covered by a chamber, suction ducts are installed in the chamber, suction is done separately by a blower, constitution is made as above, and the washing material and peeled substances are prevented from being scatted around.
